ConnJam '09 - May 15-17
The Connecticut Yankee Council of the Boy Scouts of America (Southwestern Connecticut) is presenting ConnJam '09. This is the premier council event as Scouting celebrates its past 100 years and prepares for the future. ConnJam '09 will gather more than 2,500 Scouts and leaders from all over the state for a weekend of excitement, great programs and Scouting fellowship. The programs will include an Advancement Midway, Cub Scout World, Troop Displays, Order of the Arrow Show, Venturing and Sea Scout Programs, along with over 100 local museums, government agencies, businesses and civic groups. There will be numerous hands-on activities including SCUBA, Shooting Sports, and Climbing. There will also be a Battle of the Bands going on all day and a spectacular closing show on Saturday night.ConnJam '09 will be May 15-17, 2009 at the Orange Fairgrounds / High Plains Community Center, 525 Orange Center Road, Orange, CT.
Alpha Phi Omega will have a display sponsored by the Southwestern CT APO Alumni Association. We will be promoting APO to older Scouts as they prepare for college, and to current Scouting Units as a service resource. Brothers are encourage to help out at the booth and enjoy the program. Camping space will be available on site.
