Shannon is a Correctional Counselor for the Connecticut Department of Correction. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends. You can often find her petsitting or housesitting for friends. She enjoys scrapbooking in her free time as well as going to church functions or spending time shopping. Shannon also spends a lot of time reading, catching up with friends on the phone or hanging out at her house which she recently purchased in December. Her favorite service activity when active was a special clean up project at Goodwin Park -- especially the year that Kimberly Usselman was thrown in the lake! Her personal favorite life service project is through her church helping the Dominican Republic Mission Team.

Karen is an alumna of Quinnipiac University chapter (Nu Alpha), and was a 2002 recipient of the APO John Mack Scholarship during her sophomore year. While in college, Karen worked in Walt Disney World on Pleasure Island to fulfill her internship. She loves travelling, ice hockey, board games, and catching up with friends!
Karen is also a Pre-K teacher at the Killingworth Kid's Center in Killingworth. Outside of APO, she is an active member of the Chester Hose Company where she volunteers as a First Responder and is in the Women's Auxiliary. She has also been an avid volunteer with the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life efforts since 2005 and currently serves on the Relay For Life of Haddam-Killingworth planning team. On a recent trip to Germany she completed a life dream to go skydiving! |

Kate joined Teach for America after college and taught high school math in Arkansas for four years. She plays the oboe, clarinet, and piano, and dreams of returning to Italy someday.

Service is nothing new to Danielle-she currently volunteers with Manes and Motions (a therapeutic horse back riding program) and has done literacy volunteering in the past. She loves to get together with friends and enjoys traveling in her free time.

Erin is the Assistant Dean for Campus Activities & Orientation at Albertus Magnus College in New Haven, CT. She oversees student activities, special events, and new student orientation, and she works with the programming board and student organizations on campus. She is also a part-time faculty member, teaching one course per semester. Erin served as the chapter liaison to the Nu Alpha chapter for 6 years and now serves as an advisor. She also serves on Section 96 staff as the Advisor Liaison. |

Outside of APO, Katie tutors, serves on her church's missions committee, is an advisor for International Order of Rainbow for Girls, and is Matron (President) of The Order of Eastern Star & Grand Representative to Idaho. She loves Jimmy Buffet, movies, board games, and card games. Katie donated her hair twice, once at brunch the day after her wedding! She also had her dad for a first grade teacher! |

Bethany is a first year student at the University of Connecticut School of Law, where she is involved in the Women Law Students' Association, Phi Alpha Delta law fraternity, and the Davis Mock Trial competition. She is also the financial assistant at the law library on campus. Bethany has a serious addiction to chocolate and shopping. |

Jim is actually not a brother of the fraternity, but volunteering comes naturally to him and he is eager and willing to be a part of Section 96 staff. Jim's first exposure to APO was when he attended Nationals in Boston (2008), lending a hand when needed to the Region 1 Suite. In his spare time, Jim can be found fighting fires and responding to medical calls as a member of the Chester Hose Company where he serves currently as the First Lieutenant Officer. He also serves on the Relay For Life of Haddam-Killingworth planning team. Jim is employed by Whelen Engineering Inc. in Chester, CT as a Technical Support Representative. In addition to meeting actor Bill Murray, he has played soccer overseas in Denmark, Sweden, and Holland. |

In addition, she has several hobbies, including travel, digital photography, knitting, and jewelry making. Joni loves folk music, and she attends the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival every July. (For anyone who has heard of Falcon Ridge, Joni did survive the tornado of 2008.) |
