Kim
Kim Usselman   Section Chair
Kim is a children's librarian who loves books, especially Harry Potter and The Hunger Games. She is attending grad school online part-time to get her Masters of Library Science. Outside of APO, Kim spends a lot of time reading, doing homework, watching teen shows on tv (yay Glee and Secret Life!), and stalking facebook. In her APO life, Kim graduated from UConn in 2005 after being an active for 10 semesters, and has been on staff since 2006. She was elected Section 96 Chair in 2010 and re-elected for a second term in 2011. Please facebook friend her and say hi!

Joni
Karen Graham   Conference Coordinator/UCONN Liason

In the APO world, Karen is an alumna of Quinnipiac University chapter (Nu Alpha), and was a 2002 recipient of the APO John Mack Scholarship during her sophomore year. While in college, Karen worked in Walt Disney World on Pleasure Island to fulfill her internship. She loves travelling, ice hockey, board games, and catching up with friends!

Outside of APO, Karen is employed by the Westbrook Board of Education as a one-on-one para for a blind child. She is an active member of the Chester Hose Company where she volunteers as a EMT, Firefighter and is in the Women's Auxiliary. She has also been an avid volunteer with the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life efforts since 2005. On a recent trip to Germany she completed a life dream to go skydiving!


Joni
Joni Halabi   MIT Section Liason
Joni is an alumna of the Epsilon Zeta (RPI) chapter and is now working with the Alpha Chi (MIT) chapter as their section liaison. She lives in Arlington, MA, and works as a User Experience Developer at Optaros, a commerce website consulting firm in downtown Boston. Joni loves digital photography and watching shows on the SciFi channel before SciFi became SyFy. When she is not being geeky at work or geeky at home, Joni enjoys running, baking tasty treats, knitting, listening to folk music, and watching football. Go Pats!

Erin
Erin Morrell   Advisors Liason
Erin Morrell is the Assistant Dean for Campus Activities & Orientation at Albertus Magnus College in New Haven, CT. She oversees all student activities, student organizations, the campus pub, and all student employees in the department. She also teaches part-time at Albertus. In her spare time, she enjoys scrap booking, traveling, and photography. Erin served as the advisor for the Nu Alpha chapter at Quinnipiac University from 2004-2011. She is currently on Section Staff as the Advisor's Liaison. Erin attended the University of Connecticut and pledged Delta Sigma in the Spring of 1999.

Bethany
Bethany DiMarzio   UHa Section Liason
Bethany is a third year student at the University of Connecticut School of Law, where she is involved in the Connecticut Insurance Law Journal, Student Bar Association, Moot Court Board, Mock Trial Society, and Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity International. Add in APO and that's pretty much her entire life until after graduation!

Danielle
Danielle Tapper   Secretary
Danielle is a reference librarian who not only loves books but movies as well. The last year has been intense-learning all about APO, going to Conclaves, and being made an Advisor to UHA. She is definitely looking forward to a new year with new activities and students. She loves to get together with friends, baking, and enjoys traveling in her free time.

Joe!
Shannon Copas   Leadership Coordinator
Shannon is an alumnus from the University of Connecticut Delta Sigma Chapter. She was the pledge class president in Fall 2001 Her favorite service project when active was cleaning up Goodwin Park where the current pledgemaster was thrown in the lake at the conclusion of the event. She resides in Connecticut but spends a lot of time in New Hampshire. Shannons favorite activities include reading, exploring different walks or hikes in New England and catching movies with friends or loved ones.

Shaina Rasmussen   BU Section Liason
Shaina is currently the section liaison to Boston University. She pledged Delta Sigma in Fall 2003, held the positions of treasurer, pledgemaster, Fellowship VP, and president on the executive board, and was a chapter DSK recipient. After graduating from the University of Connecticut in 2007, Shaina went on to law school and is now an attorney working in Boston. In her spare time, she enjoys reading historical non-fiction, volunteering with Boston Cares, and running races with friends.

Abigail
Abby Storiale   UCONN Section Liason

Abby Albair Storiale is the liason to Delta Sigma chapter at UCONN. She was a member of the re-chartering class of the Kappa Epsilon chapter of APO at Wagner College. In the world outside of APO, she is the of Editor-in-Chief of two weekly, community newspapers, The Valley Press and The WestHartford Press, based out of Simsbury, CT. She earned two Society of Professional Journalist’s awardsin 2011. When she has time for hobbies, Abby enjoys both attending and being in musical theater performances and fiction writing. She recently got married, and is looking for the day when she spends more time at home than in the office so she and her husband can get a puppy.


Jim
Jim Schaefer   Staff Support

Jim is actually not a brother of the fraternity, but volunteering comes naturally to him. His first exposure to APO was when he attended Nationals in Boston (2008), lending a hand when needed to the Region 1 Suite. In his spare time, Jim can be found fighting fires and responding to medical calls as a member of the Chester Hose Company where he serves currently as the Battalion Chief. Jim is employed by Whelen Engineering Inc. in Chester, CT as a Technical Support Representative. He has been fortunate enough to meet actor Bill Murray and has played soccer overseas in Denmark, Sweden, and Holland.


Peter
Peter Burger   Staff Ninja

Maine Maritime Academy alum, class of 2005 (Phi Epsilon chapter). Pledged Fall 2000.

Marine engineer professionally, currently working on a drill-ship in Borneo/India. I live in Cambridge, MA. I love to cook, sail, and tinker/build. I travel a lot for both work and pleasure, so I'm often not at home.


Matt
Matt Goldstein   Staff Ninja

Matt is a Section Ninja/Staff Support for Section 96. An alum of Alpha Chi at MIT, Matt has been involved in the section since chairing Conclave and Nationals Floor Services and Sergeant at Arms as an Active. Based in Boston, Matt is frequently in Western MA, California, Washington DC, and other parts of the country for work and always happy to help out chapters however he can.


Amanda
Amanda Kalish   Staff

Amanda is an alumnus of WPI and held the postions of treasurer, membership vice president, president, and conclave chair after pledging in the Spring of 2006. Outside of APO, Amanda is involved with a variety of projects with Girl Scouts of Connecticut. She also enjoys hiking around the northeast, baking, and is a CPR instructor.


Meli
Meli Mathis   Social Media Staff

Meli is the social media staff member for Section 96. She runs the facebook page (with 335 likes and growing) along with the twitter feed. She came to Section 96 by way of Section 87 in Central New York and is an alumna of Gamma Chapter at Cornell University. Along with her section staff position, she is an APO LEADS presenter for Launch, Achieve, and Discover as well as a member of the national LD Committee serving as the Northeast Regional LD Coordinator. Outside of APO, she is the head coach of Somerville (MA) High School's rowing team and a coxswain with Gentle Giant Rowing Club. And, if that doesn't sound like a busy enough schedule, she is pursuing a second bachelor's degree in nursing.

Jennifer
Jennifer Penna   Connecticut Alumni Relations

Jennifer is currently the Alumni Coordinator for Connecticut. She pledged APO Delta Sigma in Fall 2006 where she was Pledgemaster, Membership Vice President, and 2008 Nationals co-chair.. After graduating from UCONN, Jenn attended Fordham University to get her Master's Degree in Social Work and Law. Currently, she works for Connecticut conducting in-home mental health treatment for juvenile offenders across the state (and waitressing and babysitting in her free time). When she isn't working, Jenn enjoys going to concerts, photography, and baking.


Nikki
Nikki Cahill   Alumni Relations

Hi, I'm Nikki! I'm an Electrical and Computer Engineer. I graduated in 2010 from WPI, where I pledged the Omicron Iota chapter in 2007. In OI, I served as Historian and Membership Vice President, and now as part of staff I am the Massachusetts Alumni Coordinator. I am also a singer, a Girl Scout Gold Award recipient, and a puzzle fanatic.

Joe Cotnoir   Webmaster
Joe is the webmaster of Section 96. Legend has it that he is an alumni from WPI and transcended the mortal realm in 2010. Now he works at WPI, fixing projectors and creating small miracles. In his spare time, he plays drums and sings lead vocals in his awesome band, makes internets, and writes fiction. Joe can lift buildings with his tongue, which he frequently does to save cats.
